Rooted in the practice of Shinrin-yoku (forest therapy) this 90-minute guided experience invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature through simple, sensory-based invitations. Among the Trees, we create space for stillness, curiosity and a deeper connection to the forest and to yourself. Guests often describe leaving a session with mental clarity, physical ease, and emotional grounding. This practice can benefit participants by fostering a lasting sense of calm and connection to the wild and to themselves. Dress for changing mountain weather in comfortable layers and sturdy footwear. Please bring water, a small backpack for personal gear, and something to sit on (a mat or extra layer) if you'd like added comfort. An optional notebook is welcome for reflections and we will close with a forest tea circle where tea will be provided.

Trauma doesn’t just affect the mind — it can also be held in the body. This means that mind-body practices like yoga can be challenging, and even harmful, for those who have endured any form of trauma — whether acute or complex. Trauma-informed yoga (TIY) describes an approach to the practice that addresses the specific needs and symptoms of trauma survivors. Trauma-informed yoga teachers are trained to be conscious of trauma and understand how trauma intersects with the practice. This form of yoga may include self-regulation strategies to - increase body awareness in a safe and controlled way, which can promote feelings of physical, emotional, and psychological safety AND address nervous system dysregulation, dissociation, and feelings of disconnection from the body or surroundings, which are common after experiencing trauma.

Join us for a fun and welcoming evening of donut decorating and community connection during Bow Valley Mental Health & Addictions Week. Living in the mountains can be incredible, but it can also feel isolating, especially when work, housing, and social life are all wrapped together. This event is designed to help people connect, share experiences, and build a supportive community here in Lake Louise. While decorating your own donuts with glazes and toppings, you’ll take part in light activities and conversation prompts that make it easy to meet new people and get to know others in town. We’ll also share the Locals Guide, a community resource created by people who live and work here to help others find support, services, and community. Come solo or bring a friend. No experience needed. All supplies and donuts are provided.
